The church built in the early 1900’s by local immigrants, was the First Lutheran Church in Wood River. It has been restored to its original beauty, by the Wood River Heritage Council featuring it’s original wood flooring, hand crafted wood pews, and a beautiful stained glass window.

Wedding Anniversary Bricks
As an Illinois Historic Preservation Project, the Wood River Heritage Council is placing engraved bricks in walkways to the church are a means for you to dedicate your memory of a wedding or special event held at the HIstoric Chapel. The cost is $50 and all proceeds go to to maintain the chapel.
